Hello and welcome back!! In today's blog post, we will be finishing off June 2019 and 2020. So, let's just jump right in and get started.
JUNE 2019
We shall begin by wrapping up our LONG trip home from back east.

| I guess this is what one does when one is bored on a long car ride. |

| "MOM!! Did you really just take a picture of me with a bag on my head?!?!?" Yes, yes I did. |

| We stopped at a gas station somewhere in Nebraska. I got a kick out of how they dressed up their dinosaur. So, while we had a few minutes to stretch our legs, I decided to get a picture of it. |
And then, naturally, dinosaur shenanigans began....

| Meow-meow insisted that he needed to be in the saddle. |

| And he insisted that I take a picture of him. |
And then Spider Monkey wanted to get in on some of the action.
I have to set the story for the next few pictures. After we decided that we wanted to get a friend for Gimli, we decided to get a Husky puppy, as Nathan has always wanted a Husky. We did some looking around in the classifieds and found some Husky puppies for sale down in the St. George area. The plan was that Jaina, Tiger Lily, Firecracker and I would leave early in the morning for an epic road trip to get our new puppy. The plans had all been pre-arranged and set. We all got up early the next morning, it was raining, I do remember that, and raining pretty hard, to boot. Gimli had slept downstairs with Spider Monkey. He heard us up and moving around, so Spider Monkey opened his door to let Gimli out. Gimli happily trotted out into the hallway where he gave a mighty yelp and fell over dead. We tried to revive him. Nathan and I rushed him to the animal hospital, but it was too late. The vet said that more than likely he had blot clot somewhere in his brain that burst and that there was nothing we could have done. That was a very hard day. But we now had this Husky puppy that we were supposed to be on our way to pick up. In the end, Nathan and the girls took the road trip to get our new Husky puppy.

| Yes it does!! Welcome home to Utah!! Dry air and sunshine!! And the best part?!?! MOUNTAINS!! I missed my desert mountain home. |
And now for the last of the journal entries. Today's date is: 19 June 2019 Today we visited: Indiana, Illinois, & Ohio Today's weather: Cloudy, rainy, and a little sunshine. Today I feel: Meh What I saw today: Scenery. My favorite part of the day: Getting to our destination. I liked: Not sleeping in the trailer. (Our brother-in-law's brother and family live outside of Chicago and they invited us to spend the night at their house. We got to sleep in a real bed. It was LOVELY.) I did not like: The bumpy roads. (I guess we drove over bumpy roads. I don't remember this. Maybe it was so bad that I blocked it from my memory. LOL!) It was funny when: The lock broke off the trailer. (Broke clean off!! Yet another "incident" to laugh at.) Today's date is: 20 June 2019 Today we visited: Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska Today's weather: Cloudy, rainy, and some sunshine. Today I feel: Meh What I saw today: Fields. Trees. Cars. Trucks. Clouds. Rain. Blue sky. Sunshine. My favorite part of the day: Getting closer to home!! I liked: Listening to music. I did not like: All day in the car. It was funny when: Jaina used a plastic bag as a hat. And, finally..... Today's date is: 21 June 2019 Today we visited: Nebraska, Wyoming, and Utah. Today's weather: Cloudy, rainy, and some sunshine. Today I feel: Cool What I saw today: Rain. A bidet in a truck stop bathroom. My favorite part of the day: When we crossed into Utah. I liked: Getting home. I did not like: The long car ride. It was funny when: I kept sneezing. (I have epic sneezes!) Travel Memories. Write down a memory for each letter of the alphabet. A: Appalachian Mountains N: Niagara Falls B: Beautiful Scenery O: Overwhelming cow smells C: Cloudy Skies P: Peaceful moments D: Dumb Drivers Q: Quaint Towns E: Enormous Rivers R: Roads to different places F: Flooded Rivers S: So much rain. G: Green Groves of Trees T: Temples H: Holy Places U: Utterly amazing amounts of rain I: Irritating Insects V: Very nice campground in D.C. J: Jostling All Over Rough Roads W: Water everywhere K: KOA Camping X: Exits L: License Plates from Everywhere, even Hawaii Y: Yummy roasted marshmallows M: Mini mountains Z: Not enough bug zappers. There you have it!! It was a great vacation and one that we will definitely remember for the rest of our lives. So, what about the rest of June 2019??  |
| We have season tickets to the Desert Star Playhouse. So, we took Jaina and Meow-meow with us and had a great time!! |

| We got thinking that Gimli should have a friend. Nathan has always wanted a Husky. So, we looked around on the classifieds and found Link. We were able to bring her home for a day to see if she would be a good fit for us and Gimli. Sadly, she wasn't a good fit for our family. Her name was Link. We still wanted a friend for Gimli and figured that another puppy would make a better fit. |

Our story is not done there!! I got a phone call many hours later. The whole idea behind getting Sapphire was to have a friend for Gimli. But Gimli suddenly was gone. Should we get a friend for Sapphire now? The girls had done some looking around on the classifieds and found an adorable Hound Dog puppy for sale down in the St. George area..........
