The wonderful world of August

 Good morning and welcome to August.  In today's episode, we will be visiting August 2019 and 2020. 

So, without further ado, let us kick this off with.......

AUGUST 2019

August brings back to school time.  Little did we know that before this school year was up, things would get weird with Covid.  But for now, all was the same as it usually was....

Jaina started her junior year.

Lion Heart became a sophomore.

Spider Monkey started 9th grade.

Firecracker moved up to 8th grade.

Tiger Lily said goodbye to elementary school and became a big 7th grader.

And our wee little Meow-mew moved to first grade and all day school!!  YAY!!!

Spider Monkey turned 14.

August is also the start of FOOTBALL SEASON!!  GO COUGARS!!

Now, let's jump right to August 2020 and see the stark difference one year makes.

AUGUST 2020

For starters, I did not take very many photos.

Flopsy mopsy kitten-katten.

August is the month where four of our five Sugar Gliders suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.  We were able to save only one.

Poor Baby does not feel well at all.

He's getting better.  We had to feed him from a dropper, and let me tell you, that was MESSY!

Back to school photos??  We opted to homeschool.

This is our first day of school photos.

Silly dog loves to sit like this, and Spider Monkey turned 15.

The crummy part was I couldn't go to any football games because of Covid!!  GRRRRR

 Good morning!!  Welcome back!!  Are you all ready for July?  Good, let's get started then!!

JULY 2019

Let's go see what shenanigans the Davis family got up to in July 2019 shall we?

Whoever drives this car is my kindred spirit!!  I saw it in the movie theatre parking lot and just had to get a picture of it.

4th of July Shenanigans.

They did face painting at the breakfast.  This kid cracks me up.

So adorable!!

We went up to Kaysville for the fireworks.  It rained and rained. We were afraid they might have to cancel the show.

Luckily the rain stopped and the show went on.  But it was COLD!!

Martina just looks so thrilled to be there.

The 4th of July is my favorite holiday!!  I just love to watch the fireworks.,

We still had Moose the bunny.  Silly bunny.

We started to get Boysenberries.

The silly bunny was my outdoor buddy.  He followed me EVERYWHERE!!  

He always had to be in my lap if I was sitting down.

Jaina got a job at Sweeto Burrito.

Well, that about sums up what went down in 2019.  Shall we jump over to 2020 and see what shenanigans were going on?

JULY 2020

Puppy shenanigans!!!  Lots and lots of cute puppy shenanigans is what went down in July 2020.

She still sleeps like this too.

And the Sugar Gliders were as adorable as ever.

As for the house construction, I had finished with what I could do in the kitchen area and had moved upstairs. I was working on laying tile in the upstairs bathroom and re-painting it.  Then I got to work on mudding, sanding, and painting the loft, as well as starting to put down the flooring.  The kids played with friends and we really didn't go anywhere or do anything because of Covid.
