May 2015

May was spent with 24 hour care for Spaceman Spiff.  Nathan moved my comfy brown recliner into his room.  We would take turns sleeping in the recliner so we would be right there should he need anything during the night.  It was like having a 14-year-old infant.  Spaceman Spiff was a trooper through it all.  By the end of the month, he was getting better at being self sufficient, but had a long six months of no bending, lifting, or twisting ahead of him and a mommy that was a stickler for following doctors orders to the LETTER!!

Our May started out with Spaceman Spiff still in the hospital.
Heading down for post-op x-rays.

Yay!!  Heading home from the hospital.
Lots of help and lots of snuggles for Spaceman Spiff during his recovery.
Sugar Dust was the biggest help.  She snuggled Spaceman Spiff when he was feeling awful

Happy Kitty, happy Spaceman Spiff.

Meow-meow would take Spaceman Spiff by the finger and help him walk wherever he needed to go.  It was very cute.

Meow-meow also liked to snuggle with Spaceman Spiff.

His two best snuggle buddies.
With my brown recliner in Spaceman Spiff's bedroom, it opened up the door for plenty of monkey business.

There were other things that went on besides recovery.  Firebolt had an orchestra concert.
She's in there somewhere.

There was a ward Father and Son camp out.

While the boys camped, me and the girls did some crafts.
In sixth grade, they do a Greek wax museum thing.  Firebolt picked the Phoenix.  We made this mask for part of her costume.  It was epic!

And with that, May came to a close with everyone excited for school to end and summer vacation to begin.
