Sensational September

Good morning, and welcome back.  Today we will be covering September 2021, 2022, and 2023.  We have a lot of fun things to cover, so let us begin.

SEPTEMBER 2021

We start out out September 2021 with Jacen getting called and set apart as a Service Missionary in the Layton, Utah mission.

Construction on the house was moving along quite nicely and we were getting closer to being able to finally move in!

I am glad that we tore down that wall and opened things up.

View from the Front Room into the kitchen.

This is looking out of my bedroom window.  Under that blue arrow is where the Layton temple is.

Football season is in full swing.  This is the game where BYU played Utah and beat them 26 to 17!!

Cosmo came up near where we were sitting.  Cosmo is the BEST mascot EVER!!

We got rained on, but we WON, so it was all worth it!

WE WON!! WE WON!! WE WON!!

Storming the field!  If I body cooperated with me, I too would have charged out onto the field!!  But instead I got pictures of it.

Tiger Lily had a great time.

I screamed so loud that I was a bit hoarse for a few days, but it was all worth it because, WE WON!!

The program from Jacen's farewell.

Meow-meow wrote his own songs, I believe for a Family Night that he organized and put on.  He's such an adorable and clever little boy.

We took the kids to see a play at the Desert Star Playhouse.

Don't ask questions.

I don't ask questions.

The flooring and painting are all done in the Front Room!!  YAY!!

It turned out quite lovely.

The kitchen was almost done.  I still had to paint the cupboard doors and clean up all of the construction stuff on the counters.

View from the kitchen into the Front Room

Down the hallway to two of the bedrooms.

Jimmy and Meow-meow's room.  They did all the painting in here, and did a really good job.....

Until you get to the closet and find this.  Silly kids.

Carpeting almost done in Richard's room

Working on the carpeting for the stairs.

Stairs to the basement.

This is Jacen's room.  I'm glad we went with the laminate flooring instead of carpeting, considering that two years later we had flooding.

This is from standing at the top of the stairs to my room.

And the carpeting on the stairs is done!!

Basement stairs.

The BYU Cougar Marching Band!!

GAMEDAY!!

We played the Arizona State Sun Devils and beat them 27 to 17

I was very happy with how this little room in the West Wing turned out.

My new closet drawers.

GAMEDAY!!

We played the USF Bulls and beat them 35 to 27

Cosmo getting wave tossed around the stands.

After the games, win or lose, the band goes to the front of the stadium and plays music while the crowds leave.  My favorite part is when they start playing Primary Songs, Like the Armies of Helaman

The Sugar Gliders were adorable as always.

Whitley being adorable as always.

That's a wrap for September 2021.  Onto September 2022

SEPTEMBER 2022
Jimmy all handsome in his new suit.

Jacen turned 22 and I turned 49

Jimmy and I went to the Pink Floyd concert and had a fabulous time.

Waiting for the concert to begin.

Using ropes to make the outline of where I wanted my pond to be.

Playing at Lagoon.

It was my first time experiencing Frightmares.

We played the Baylor Bears and beat them 26 to 20 in overtime.

I love going to the football games.  They are so much fun!!

Our irrigation schedule was Thursday night from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.  So, we had to irrigate in the dark.

My yard buddy, Mars.  Unfortunately he is one of the cats that the neighbors stole, even after I had told them that they were my cats.

I love kitties who snuggle me on the hammock.  All I want are snuggly kitties who follow me around the yard, and cuddle me on the hammock.  It would be nice if the neighbors would just leave my cats alone.

GAMEDAY again!!

Jaina came with me to this game

Cosmo entered the stadium by parachute.  That was really cool.

At the beginning of the 4th quarter, they do a whole huge pump up.  This year they added a new element, Fire dancers!!

We played the Wyoming Cowboys and beat them 38 to 24

Another GAMEDAY!!

Beautiful rainbow.

I love day games!

It threatened to rain and the sky looked really awesome

Cosmo doing his fancy tricks.

We played Utah State Aggies and beat them 38 to 26

Nathan's sister Sarah and her family came into town for a visit and so we went to a park and did some family pictures.
We thought it would be hilarious to re-create some of those "old time" photos where they were serious and didn't smile.  I think they turned out great.

Then we all attempted to be "serious"

That's one good looking family.

Sarah and Brent humored Jacen and did a Sugar Glider photo shoot.

Cousins having fun.

Richard and his girlfriend, Olivia.

Well, we have now finished September 2022.  Come with me as we journey into the final stage of the September journey.

SEPTEMBER 2023

We got the pig meat back from the butcher.

It was so delicious.  That'll teach the pig to step on my foot!  I grew up on fresh bacon like this and I had forgot just how wonderful it was.  It almost makes it worth it to raise pigs again.

Well, we started out this blog post with Jacen starting his Service Mission, and we will end this blog post by him finishing his Service Mission and getting released.

He did an awesome job!

GAMEDAY!!  Meow-meow got to go to this game and it was the opening home game of the season.  We played the Sam Houston Bearkats and beat them soundly, 14 to 0.  I LOVE a good shut-out game.

Sweet little Cocoa Bean

Leche gave birth to five little kittens.

My paradise.

We made grape juice from grapes out of our yard.  It was very tasty.

Comfortable your pet in winter?  The grammar may be horrible, but so far it has been doing it's job.

Another GAMEDAY!!  Meow-meow got to go to this game as well.  We played Southern Utah Thunderbirds and beat them 41 to 16

She loves to "help"

I turned 50.  Nathan took me out to Texas Roadhouse and I got to sit on the saddle and they sung Happy Birthday to me.

Adorable Eilee.

Leche's kittens getting bigger.

I attempted to throw an epic 50th birthday party.  Just as an FYI, leaf blowers and tea light candles don't mix very well.

The September birthday people!!

I did a little bit of fiddling around with my drag that I had made and figured out a way to attach it to the front of Betsy so I could really do some serious dirt moving.

Meow-meow and Cocoa Bean being adorable.

I somehow managed to bite my tongue really really hard.  It hurt for several days.

Nathan went on a business trip to Chile

Salt rocks.

She likes to lay on me in the weirdest places.

And Leche's sweet little kittens.

Well, that's all I have.  We have reached the end of today's journey.  Join me again when we take a look at October 2021, 2022, and 2023
