Good morning!! Welcome to a new day, and a new trip down memory lane. Today we will be covering March 2021, 2022, and 2023. I shall be crossing my fingers and hoping that the internet cooperates with me today. Well, let's jump right in, shall we?
MARCH 2021
We are still in Bountiful. Nathan was beginning to talk more and more about moving, and I was absolutely refusing to budge.
Jimmy was finally old enough to start practicing driving and getting ready to get his learners permit. He was very excited and thought driving was lots of fun...
Eilee on the other hand, not so much. She too was old enough to start practicing driving and getting ready to get her learners permit. She did not find the experience to be fun, as you can tell from her body language and the look of terror on her face.
I got the "once and done" Johnson and Johnson vaccine. I still ended up getting Covid a year later in February 2022. It was not a fun experience. Covid did not effect my lungs or anything like that. It did, however, effect my heart rate and blood pressure. Pre Covid I had perfect blood pressure, post Covid, well, lets just say that two years later and I'm still dealing with it. My blood pressure has never gone back to normal and I now have to take blood pressure medications. Because apparently you can get long term effects from Covid. Stupid Covid.
Nathan brought back souvenirs from his trip to Turkey. He looks so thrilled, lol.
Eilee tried on my Burka that I brought back with me from my trip to Dubai.
Tiger Lily being "cool" on the trampoline
I finished painting the red camel
The red camel and red wise man.
The wise men are done!
We had a Family Night lesson on the Armor of God and Meow-meow wanted to make his own Armor of God. I helped him make the breastplate out of cardboard, and the rest of the costume we gathered from the Halloween costume bin. It was very adorable.
That's all I have for March 2021. I did get more of the nativity painted than just the red camel, and I did take pictures of them, but they are part of the pictures that got lost.
MARCH 2022
March 2022 was fun, I was mostly recovered from my bout with Covid, and the weather was warming up more and more.
The sugar gliders were as adorable as ever.
I probably got this bruise while pruning back the trees.
It was warm enough for us to build a campfire. We introduced our exchange student, Facundo to Smores, and he loved them so much that we frequently had late night campfires.
A lovely early spring night.
Hiding out in a cavity of the rock.
They had fun climbing all over the place.
Naturally we had to climb to the top of Black Rock.
And look down from our domain!
Exploring around Black Rock
Naturally you have to pose in front of the Great Salt Lake which sadly is way off in the distance.
Epic poses.
Kennecott in the background.
We made it to the Salt Flats and had a grand time breaking in my new toy....
More epic posing.
Say cheese.
Caught this photo right after he did a hair flip.
She's so adorable!!
And this is my new toy!! I named her Betsy. She got the name because she had an American Flag with the Pledge of Allegiance in the back window. Nathan joked and called it my mid-life crisis.
Richard looking pensive.
I got a new perm. Thank you Becky!! You are the BEST!!
Not entirely sure how I got this bruise, but I'm pretty sure it was from pruning back the trees.
Those poor fruit trees were so overgrown.
And finally we have made it to March 2023.....
Eilee wanted to be in a play, and so she did some looking around and found O.P.P.A. (On Pitch Performing Arts) located in Layton, right across the street from the Home Depot. She talked Nathan into taking her to the auditions and they somehow managed to wrangle him into auditioning as well. So, they both ended up playing in Peter and the Star Catchers together. It was a fun play and a great opportunity for Eilee and her dad to spend time together.
My parents gave me all of their plant growing equipment and I got it all set up in the little room over in the West Wing of the house. Technically it's a Mother-in-Law apartment, but we've decided to call it the West Wing. It sounds more epic that way.
I started doing acupuncture. I love acupuncture, it is amazing and I highly recommend it for anyone and everyone. I however, because it's me, get epic bruises even from acupuncture.
Look at that cute pregnant little belly. I wasn't quite ready to have Leche and Puff-puff become outside cats yet, especially with Leche being pregnant, so I moved them both over to the West Wing so I could keep an eye on them and then love on the kittens when they were born.
Our stake put on a temple open house in preparation for the Layton Temple eventually being opened. It was a lot of fun. Nathan and I work with another couple in our ward as the boys Activity Days leaders and we had them build a temple out of sugar cubes for the event. I somehow managed to miss taking a picture of it.
And we got pounded with snow.
And I mean lots of snow. March isn't usually supposed to be THIS snowy!!
I started calling him Puff Daddy.
I miss her so much!! Her favorite thing to do was stretch out on me and fall asleep.
The snow finally started to melt......
Because of all the snow that we got so late into March, there was A LOT of flooding going around. There were quite a few people in the neighborhood that had flooding in their basements, and we were one of them. So, my front room became the dumping grounds for all the stuff that was downstairs.
And just when we thought the snow would stop, it started again. I was so sick and tired of all the snow by this point. My front room was a disaster area and my basement was a mess, I was just DONE!!
Whelp, we've come to the end for today. I hope you enjoyed it and I will see you all tomorrow when we tackle April.
