Marvelous May

Good morning!!  Welcome back!!  Today we will be discussing May 2021, 2022, 2023.  There will be graduations, kittens, and a bunch of other fun stuff.  So, lets dive right in.

MAY 2021

I finished painting the donkey.

The cow was the last piece I had to finish painting.

I finished it!!  I am very happy with how it turned out!!

Neither Nathan or I ever make out bed.  I grew up having to make my bed all during my childhood and I hated it.  I have never made my bed at all during my entire adult life and I like it that way.  So, why is our bed made?  We had to make it look nice for the relator pictures.  I had to take a picture to mark the occasion.  Also because Nathan and I don't share a blanket and it's highly amusing between the color difference in our blankets.

Tiger Lily got her appendix removed.

Acrobatic eating.

Jaina was struggling at Woods Cross High School and she turned 18 in the middle of her senior year of high school.  I have a good friend who lives out in Vernon, Utah and it was decided that Jaina would go and live with them and attend my Alma Mater, Tooele High School.

T - T - T O O - E -E -E L E, T O O - E L E, TOOELE! And Yes, I even remember parts of the school song, and have been known to sing it randomly whenever it pops into my head.

So proud of her.  I know it was hard, but she stuck with it and graduated!!
I'm still disappointed that they did the graduation ceremonies up at the University of Utah, I had really been looking forward to going back out to my old stomping grounds and watching the graduation procedure from inside the old auditorium, which is where I graduated from.

Just got her picture taken and waiting to move onto the next step.

Giving the announcer her name.

Shaking hands with all of the important people.
In my day, we would NEVER have gotten away with decorations on our caps.  We spent three, THREE days practicing the whole graduation process.  We had to wear our hats the correct way, and walk the correct way, it was the whole kit and kaboodle.

On her way back to her seat.

I graduated in 1991.  There is exactly 30 years between when I graduated from Tooele High and from when Jaina graduated from Tooele High.  In my day, the girls wore white and the boys wore purple.

My high school graduate!!!
I can't believe it was exactly 30 years! She certainly is my mini-me!  The original Tooele High that I attended no longer exists.  They tore it down and built a new one.  The only original features that still exist are the auditorium and the old shop and FFA buildings.

She truly is my mini-me!

This is what true exhaustion looks like.  Packing to move really sucks!!  But at least I had a little sweet fluff ball to snuggle with.

That ends our journey through May 2021, and we will be moving into May 2022.

MAY 2022
This is Aslan.  We were told that Aslan was a girl, but it turned out that he was actually a boy.
We got Aslan because our previous barn cats had disappeared (we did not know at that time that it was the neighbors who kept taking our cats)! Aslan too would eventually disappear out of thin air and I'm guessing one of those two yahoo neighbors took him.  They seem to take the prettiest and friendliest of my cats.

This is what I look like after a day out in the yard.

Meow-meow's grade put on a "wax museum" program and Henry chose to be George Washington. He did an excellent job and was very adorable.

We were supposed to go to the Celtic Woman concert in 2020, but it got cancelled due to Covid.  We opted to not have our tickets refunded and were then able to go and enjoy the concert.

Jaina with Aslan, Pluto, and Mars.  All three of which eventually get taken by the neighbors.

And cute little balls of Sugar Glider fluff.

That's all I have for May 2022.  I'm sure a lot more happened, but I didn't get pictures of it.  So, let's just move onto May 2023.

MAY 2023

Leche's kittens were getting so big, and so cute.  This little one here was my favorite.

Sugar Dust being snuggly.

Because of my surgery, we weren't able to get the pond lined like we wanted before the irrigation started, but what we did get done, worked quite well.

It was very exciting to have water in the pond.

My surgery scars were healing up nicely. Which is a first.

I highly recommend this little tool if you get a lot of Amazon deliveries like we do.  It makes breaking them down so easy and simple.

Fluffly belly!!

Who knows where I got this from

I decided to not keep this batch of kittens from Leche.  So, I took a bunch of pictures to post on KSL classifieds.  I learned something interesting.  If you look close, this little guy here has white paws.  Apparently they are called Snowshoe Siamese.  They are very popular and highly sought after.

But she was still my favorite.

Jimmy graduated from Layton High School

We walked all over the yard taking pictures.

One day Jimmy was driving the truck down the freeway when someone swerved into him.  He pulled over, however, the other driver sped off.

From what we've heard, there were like three other cars that saw what happened and they chased after the person who hit Jimmy and it was because of them that we were able to find out who did it, and luckily they had insurance.  It was sad to have Betsy get injured, but nice that we didn't have to pay for the repairs, plus we got a rental truck for the time that Betsy was in the shop.

Graduation day!!

So proud of him!!

I can't believe he's all graduated!!

Waiting for his name to be called.

Shaking hands with the important people.

It was very cold, rainy, and windy.

My graduate.

Look at that cute little face.  I did debate about selling her or not.

I mean, look at that.

nom, nom

Sleepy baby

I did end up selling her, but I do wish I hadn't.  She was just so sweet.

Playful kittens.

So there you have it, that's a wrap for May 2021, 2022, and 2023.  I will see you again tomorrow.
