We start out May with me still recovering from my ankle surgery and having the recovery coming along very well. I was able to take off the boot more and to start putting more and more weight on it. Let me tell you, it was VERY nice to be able to get up and be mobile again. We didn't have too many adventures in May but here's what did happen.....

| My good friends, the Loder's moved out to Vernon (a small town about 30 miles south of Tooele) and bought five acres of land where they raise goats. Well, Firebolt wanted to try her hand at raising some goats for 4H. We made arrangements for her to be able to spend the summer in Vernon. |

| Raising goats means you need goats to raise. We went out to Pine Canyon (the small town in which I grew up in) to purchase one of the goats. Firebolt raised two goats, the other goat she bought off of my friend, Stephanie. Can I just say how extremely weird it was to got out to Pine Canyon and stand in a barn that, when I was a child, was just an empty field and is now full of houses!! Anyway, Firebolt found a really nice goat and named her, "Bean." |
One cannot go out to Pine Canyon and not drive by one's childhood home. It has changed so much!!! It was fun showing Firebolt where I grew up. One day I want to go back out there and knock on the door and see if they'll let me walk around the old place.

| There used to be a house over there. We lived in it for a few months while we built our house on the property next to it. |

| My mom's plans worked out. She wanted to have so many trees that when you drive past, you would have to look closely to see a house. |
