What have I been up to?

I have been getting my craft on for the past couple of months.  I needed some quiet activities that I could bring to church for Meow-meow and I also wanted some fun and educational games for him to play with at home.  Some of you may remember that day a couple of months ago when I overloaded Facebook with all of my quiet book Pinterest Pins.  From that, I came up with several ideas.  After several trips to Michael's and hours and hours of work, I have finally finished my project.  I think they turned out fabulous.  Meow-meow loves them and it keeps him busy during Sacrament Meeting. Anyway, I thought I would post the finished projects here.

This is the build-an-animal I made out of felt. Everything is removable so he can mix and match to create his own strange animals.

This is one of the build-a-monsters I did.

This is the other build-a-monster I did.

I also made this build-a-jack O lantern

I had fun with this one.  It's a build-a-Mr/Mrs Potato head and a build-a-Minion.

This has been one of Meow-meows favorites.  It's the build-a-cupcake/ice cream cone/birthday cake

Build-a-scene

I made this one out of wood letters that I painted fun colors.  Then I found this awesome magnetic paper.  I put some magnets on the back of the letters and got a pizza tray from the Dollar Store.  I'm thinking that I may get a rectangle cookie sheet instead.  But Meow-meow has fun matching the letters.

These next pictures are of the shape match game I made.

The build-a-face.  I laminated the eyes and put magnets on the back of them.  I put the heads on the magnetic paper.

A build-a-worm.  I glued pom-poms to magnets and on some of the pom-poms, I put googly eyes.

Another felt project, build-a-robot.

Another fun build-a-face.

I made these color match popsicles out of felt.  The felt glue didn't work so well, but hot glue worked wonders.

Ice cream color match.

I made these geometric shapes out of the foam sheets

I had fun making these.  I painted the wood blocks and then I found smaller beads with the alphabet on them.  I added velcro dots to them and voila.....he can stick them together and have fun!!

Alphabet bug match.

This has been one of his favorites.  I have the blocks with holes, mini spools, little knobs, and tiny flower pots.  I had to drill the holes into the wood boards which wasn't too hard as the wood wasn't too thick and I found a nifty hand drill.  I painted all of the wood dowels and such.

Rainbow colored popsicle sticks with velcro on the ends.

These are little wood shapes that I painted.

A shape match out of jumbo craft sticks.

I had a lot of fun working on these projects and it's a lot of fun to see Meow-meow having so much fun with them.  And now onto the next project........
